CSU’s maverick president is truly bringing us to the journey to excellence in all areas of the academic functions: instruction, research, extension and production. CSU underwent series of accreditation survey visits by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP), the most recent of which was last November 14-19. 2016. Accreditation is viewed as a process by which an institution at the tertiary level evaluates its educational activities, in whole or in part, and seeks an independent judgment to confirm that it substantially achieves its objectives, and is generally equal in quality to comparable institutions. On the other hand, CSU also made it to the ISO 9001:2008 Stage 1 Audit this year.
CSU endeavours to continually improve its management system in the following key result areas: outcomes-based teaching and learning; responsive research and community engagement; viable resource generation and mobilization; and good governance.
CSU pool of experts also produced quite a number of studies that made it to both national and international presentations and publications. CSU extended its hands to more extension services in the nearby communities to help empower and improve the lives of the impoverished and the underprivileged. At this time, infrastructure projects have been simultaneously erected and continuous production of goods and services have been implemented. Engagement and collaboration with other national and international entities have been in full swing.
The world is changing so fast and competition is getting more powerful and stiff, we should not miss out in learning and in changing. Our thoughts and “mindset” must catch up with time and this requires us to be mobile and adaptive to change.
