CSU signs MOA with Tubajon

The newly created College of Forestry and Environmental Sciences (COFES) headed by Dr. Gerardo O. Kitche has been reaching out to the community through the Local Government Units (LGUs) in providing better community living through education. Recently, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed by Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, Caraga State University President, and Romeo Constantino L. Vargas, Municipal Mayor of Tubajon on February 6, 2019.

CSU-CAS Faculty trains on Wildlife Data Analysis in Malaysia

Ms. Chennie Solania of the Department of Biology under the College of Arts and Sciences attended the Boot Camp in Wildlife Study Design and Data Analysis in Sunway University, Selangor, Malaysia last January 7-18, 2019. The activity was sponsored by Sunway University and Biodiversity Conservation Society of Sarawak in which participants were coming from Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, and United Kingdom.

CHEIAPH Unanimously Elects CSU President Penaso as its President

Caraga State University President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso was unanimously voted by the 54 member Caraga Higher Education Institutions Association of Presidents and Heads Inc. (CHEIAPH), an association of private and public universities and colleges of Caraga region as its President last January 7, 2019 at Almont Inland Resort and Hotel, Butuan City.

Environmental Science Faculty Present Environmental Studies in Agusan Marsh Summit

The faculty in the Department of Environmental Science joined the 2nd Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary Summit last November 21, 2018 held at Ernielita’s Events Venue in Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. The events’ theme centers on sustaining biodiversity through ecotourism and extension programs in which key personnel from the Provincial Tourism Office of Agusan del Sur provided the situation and opportunities of ecotourism inside the marsh.

November 12, 2018, Caraga State University undergoes another Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines AACCUP accreditation survey for its five programs. Second Survey for Master of Science in Information Technology, Master of Science in Education, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Bachelor of Science in Physics; for third survey visit Phase I- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Ms. Chime M. Garcia, Ms. Meycel C. Amarille, and Ms. Julie Rose D. Apdohan faculty members of the Department of Environmental Science under the College of Forestry and Environmental Science (COFES) attended the 23rd National Educators’ Conference on Environmental Protection and Management at VIP Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City last November 7-8, 2018.

Government Quality Awards Committee ( GQMC) Commends CSU for its ISO 9001-2015 Compliance

The Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC) on its 6th year of Recognition and National Convention has commended Caraga State University for successfully earning its ISO 9001-2015 certification. CSU is among the only 10 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) out of the 112 in the Philippines that was given the recognition.
