Two CSU students from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) emerged at the top 10 during the recent Forester Licensure Examination given by the Board of Foresters of the PRC held in Metro Manila and Davao City last July 10 and 11, 2011.
BS Forestry graduates Herbert T. Sabac and Ram Hezron C. Cubao, and now licensed Foresters, of CSU placed 6th and 9th, respectively. For. Herbert T. Sabac got an 84.35% rating while For. Ram Hezron C. Cubao got 83.65%.
Eight other BS Forestry graduates who also passed the licensure examination were:
CSU got 47.62% passing rate from its BS Forestry examinees, above the 43.58% National Passing rate. This consequently placed CSU as the 5th best performing school all over the country offering BS Forestry.
The CASNR faculty, especially the mentors of the BS Forestry program, were happy to produce outstanding and competitive graduates considering that the BS Forestry degree program is just but a young curriculum of the institution offered last Academic Year 2003 – 2004.
The New Foresters are testaments of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) pride and honor and excellence in education. The results of the CSU licensure examination proves that the university provides quality education and address the society’s increasing demand for highly competent graduates.
