The University is accredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) as well as the Commission of Higher Education (CHED). The Caraga State University is now:

• Level II re-accredited in Elementary and Secondary Education Programs, Agricultural Technology and Agri-Business Management, Animal Production Technology and Farm Mechanization
• Level I in Bachelor of Science in Biology, Environmental Science, Geodetic Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Science.
• Candidate Status in Bachelor of Science Mathematics, Electronics Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry and Agriculture.
• Candidate Status in Master of Arts in Education
• A delivering institution of CHED-HEDP-FDP for MS Math
• A Center of Development (COD) status for the BS Mathematics Program
