About the AIAPIS Office
Brief History and Background
Originally, the office for Administration and Implementation of the Admission, Placement and Information Programs and Services (AIAPIS) is a part of the Admission, Counseling and Testing Center under the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS). Under the Special Order No. 249, s. 2009 dated July 24, 2009,pursuant to the CHED Memorandum Order No. 21, s. 2006, on the “Guidelines on Student Affairs and Services Program” and with the recommendations of the Student Affairs and Services Director and the Vice President for Academic Affairs and by the virtue of the delegated authority granted by the NORMISIST Board Of Trustees to Dr. Joanna B. Cuenca, University President, per BOT Res. No. 62-14, s. 2006, MR. BENITO A. BAJE has been designated as Head of the Administration and Implementation of the Admission, Placement and Information Programs and Services (AIAPIS) still under the Office of the Student Affairs and Services and he is still currently the Head of the AIAPIS per S.O. No. 300 s. 2011. The AIAPIS is composed of the unit head and one (1) office staff.
Mandate
The Admission's Office or Administration and Implementation of the Admission, Placement and Information Programs and Services (AIAPIS) shall discharge the following duties and functions:
- Plan and implement orientation and information programs and services for freshmen and transferee's;
- Plan and implement continuing orientation programs and services for all students;
- Plan and coordinate with the academic units in the conduct of information drive of the different curricular offerings of CSU in secondary schools of Caraga region and other neighboring regions;
- Coordinate with ICT for the improvement of the student's online services;
- Plan and implement admission policies that will support students' achievement in their curricular activities;
- Coordinate with other units of the Office of the Student Affairs and Services such as the Counseling and Testing Center (CTC) and Student Scholarship and Financial Assistance Unit (SSFAU) in the planning and implementation of placement programs among graduating students and non-graduating students;
- Recommend allocation of available funds in accordance with the approved plans;
- Submit semi and annual report to OSAS Director;
- Perform other related functions as may be required by the OSAS Director.
