CSU celebrates founding anniversary

Highlighted during the anniversary program was the President’s Report to the University by Dr. Joanna B. Cuenca, CEO III, and the 1st President of the Caraga State University. The report was a record of the university’s achievements made since Northern Mindanao State Institute of Science and Technology (NORMISIST) became Caraga State University.

The president also mentioned the development of the physical facilities in the university such as the new CSU gate, the Robotics and Metrology Laboratories, with Hitachi Global Storage Technologies providing high-end laboratory equipment, the campus landmarks featuring Gov. Harrison and Congresswoman Ochoa, and the continuing construction of the Science and Technology Building.
Present during the Anniversary program was Mr. Paquito Ato, the representative of Cong. Jose “Joboy” Aquino. Vice Mayor Lawrence Lemuel H. Fortun was also there on behalf of Butuan City Mayor Ferdinand M. Amante Jr. The congressman’s message to the university gave emphasis on the importance of education. According to Congressman Aquino, as read by Mr Ato, “… with education, one can face the challenges of life.” Therefore, Caraga State University has a big role in “... advancing the value of people through education.”Other news stories during the 1st Charter Week Celebration:
