On November 14, 2022 the Caraga State University happily welcomed the newly elected CSU President, Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil in a simple ceremony held after the first flag raising ceremony of Dr. Daguil as Chief Executive of the University.
The welcome ceremony was led by the four vice presidents of the University with the Executive Committee members, the Deans, Directors, students, faculty, staff, and all the other CSU personnel. During the celebratory toast, President Daguil moved around lifting his glass for all, a metaphor for oneness, peace and prosperity.
Dr. Rolyn Daguil in his message thanked the search committee, headed by AACCUP Director, Dr. Milabel Ho and all the other members. He mentioned all the names of the Board of Regents led by CHED Commissioner Jo Mark Libre and OIC of the CSU Office of the President, Dr. Joy C. Capistrano who is also ASSCAT President with profound gratitude. He practically thanked everyone, foremost to God. He thanked the whole CSU family for believing in him.
He is the first CSU President coming in as an insider. Dr. Daguil noted how the CSU previous leaders taught him the things he needs to know and to apply as a leader. He believes that CSU has a lot of talents that can be honed for the encompassing development of CSU. He urged everyone to act and move as one in the journey. Dr. Daguil’s administration proposes aggressive strategies to promote development by creating new value, meaningful solutions, and responsible stewards and leaders.
Moreover, CSU also honors the MASTS Champions. CSU was over-all champion in the recently concluded MASTS Cultural Festival 2022 held in Mati City, Davao Oriental. The Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools (MASTS) has 29 state colleges and universities organization members. ncsdt/PICO
