The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) celebrated it Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) on October 19-23, 2022 at the Robinsons Mall, Butuan City. One of the highlights of the RSTW was the Ideation and Pitching Competition where CSU was First Place in Ready to Mix Sagu, Soybeans, and Pao brownies concoctions. CSU also won as Best Presenter and CSU Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC) got the Consumer’s Choice Award.

Second place went to Northeastern Mindanao State University in Lianga for their Dried Fish Ice Cream presentation. Surigao del Norte University-Carmen got the third place for the Gabyaw de Siargao entry. The top 2 winners of the Pitching competition received Ph. 100, 000.00 worth of R&D support for product improvement, quality assurance testing, standardization and process optimization.

The DOST Science and Technology weeklong celebration had a Stakeholders forum; presentation of the DOST funded projects that showcase Science and Technology Programs and InnovEats Caraga, a food product development competition. The aim was to showcase innovative skills in developing functional food products utilizing Caraga indigenous raw materials.

Attendees were State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) of Caraga Region with the dynamic participation of CSU Center Heads: Virtual Learning Research Center (VLRC), Caraga Center for Geo-Informatics (CCGEO), Center for Human-Computer Interaction (CHCI), Center for Renewable Energy, Automation, and Fabrication Technologies (CRAFT) and College of Computing and Information Systems personnel. Also present was the OIC-Office of the CSU President, also President of Agusan del Sur State College of Agricultural Technology (ASSCAT), Dr. Joy C.
