August 16, 2022– the entire University executives, personnel, students, and partners merrily paid tribute and respect to the outgoing University President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso on his last day of tenure at Caraga State University through an array of surprise festivities. The send-off was held at the New Administration Building ground and respective areas in the University.

Out of the ten (10) candidates endorsed by the Caraga State University to National Quemoy University (NQU), and competed with student applicants all over Asia, New Zealand, and Australia, two (2) CSU students made it to the “New Southbound Policy Short-term Study Program” or Youth Elite Exchange Program (YEEP).

Flying Fox conservation in Southeast Asia and the Philippines got a boost on a 6-day workshop to assess the results of flying fox hunting and trafficking studies in Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines and the finalization of the Philippine Flying Fox Conservation and Management Plan 2022 - 2032.

On June 29, 2022, Tax Professional and retired BIR Deputy Commissioner Danilo A. Duncano donated 12 different titles of his 25 authored books to Caraga State University.

The Caraga State University Alumni Association Inc. (CSUAAI) and the Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCCAAI) united themselves together and reinvigorated the Federation of Caraga State University Alumni Association Inc. (FCSUAAI) through both the alumni offices of the two campuses.

Two faculty-researchers from Caraga State University, attended the Project PAMANA: Philippine Mining at the National to Catchment Scale: from Legacy Impacts to Sustainable Futures Meeting and Workshops last June 20-24, 2022 at the University of the Philippines Los Banos, College, Laguna.   Dr. Sherryl L. Paz and Ms. Meycel C. Amarille were invited to be part of the implementation of the project PAMANA as research collaborators/technical consultants. Penaso delivered the President’s State of the University Address (SUnA) and awarded Partners for Development during the 12th Anniversary Convocation of Caraga State University with the theme “CSU@12: Flourishing and Blooming”, held at the CSU-HERO Learning Commons Activity Center.
