The Caraga State University (CSU) is among the awardees of the Excellence in Quality Assurance in Teacher Education (EQUATE) Awards by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)!
This award reflects the College of Education’s (CEd) strong commitment to excellence. CHED honors the university’s dedication through CEd in upholding the highest standards in pre-service teacher education programs—aligning with the minimum requirements, program accreditation, and outstanding performance in the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT).
October 2, 2024 – The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), through its Technical Panel, commended the university's efforts and deemed most of the documents for the School of Medicine (SOM) as compliant, following a thorough evaluation of its proposal to establish a Doctor of Medicine program. Lead Technical Panelist Dr. Manuel Dayrit noted during the exit conference that only minor compliance requirements remain, which are expected to be addressed and submitted with the revised proposal by November.
September 18, 2024 — Officials from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) visited the Caraga State University (CSU) to assess ongoing locally-funded infrastructure projects across its Butuan City and Cabadbaran City campuses. The visit aimed to ensure that budget allocations were properly utilized and that projects were on schedule, as stated in their reports.
