CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso attended the Philippine Higher Education Career System (Phil-HECS) Presidential Leadership Program (PLP), Course 6: Managing Self and Working Towards One's Full Potential on June 26 to 27, 2017 at Berjaya Hotel in Makati City. Phil-HECS shouldered the seminar expenses and hotel accommodation while the travel and transportation costs are that of the participating SUC counterpart.
Caraga State University (CSU) got a message from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) that CSU is one of the ten (10) State Universities and Colleges in the Philippines recommended for Performance Based Bonus (PBB) pay-out on June 19, 2017. CSU along with Kalinga State University (KSU), Benguet State University (BengSU), Ifugao State University (IfSU), Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), Romblon State University (RSU), Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), Sorsogon State College (SSC), Samar State University (SSU), and University of the Philippines (UP).
On May 15, 2017, a group of Balik - Butuanon headed by the Butuan City Tourism Officers went on Garden tour to several farms in Butuan. One of the places they visited was Caraga State University. The balikbayan experienced carabao milking and tree planting. They were brought to the CSU Carabao Center for the carabao milking, went around the CSU Eco-park to commune with nature and planted trees.
May 19, 2017 at the Caraga State University Eco-Park and around CSU campus, the Caraga State University Alumni members went around for trash picking, and proceeded to the tail end of CSU Eco-park to do forest bathing and tree hugging with poetry reading.
The Caraga State University Alumni Association Inc. (CSUAAI) and the Public Information, Alumni and External Affairs (PIAEA) led this year’s alumni homecoming host, batch 1992 in an advocacy of environmental care, protection, and mitigation through different creative practices.
