
Caraga State University Graduate School led a workshop on developing an Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) syllabus on September 15–16, 2025, at the HERO Auditorium and Archives, CSU.
OCID Director Dr. Abigael L. Balbin facilitated a session on designing outcome-based syllabi. GS faculty and program chairs attended the activity. They covered crafting objectives, course outcomes, and writing syllabi using the OBE template. The AACCUP accreditation process was also covered.
To sustain collaborative learning, peer evaluation sessions, documentation for accreditation readiness, and discussions on quality assurance were also conducted.

This year, CSU started adapting Outcomes-Based Education to enhance the quality of education and its alignment with international academic standards. The shift ensures graduates possess essential knowledge and skills to excel in the 21st century.
The training concluded with the finalization of syllabi and closing remarks from Dr. Rexie Magdugo, Program Chair of MS Biology, reaffirming CSU’s strong commitment to academic quality, continuous improvement, and graduate excellence.
