Caraga State University–Graduate School held a workshop on writing a publishable article on September 6, 2025, at the HERO Learning Commons Activity Loft, gathering students working on their graduate theses and dissertations across various programs.

The training aimed to strengthen students’ ability to transform academic research into publishable work, equipping them with the skills needed to meet the graduation requirement of publishing in a Scopus-indexed journal.

In his message, VP for Research, Innovation, Development, and Extension Dr. Jeffrey T. Dellosa emphasized the importance of research dissemination. Resource persons included Graduate School Dean Dr. Junrie B. Matias, who discussed strategies for writing a publishable article, and CMNS faculty member Dr. Miraluna L. Herrera, who shared insights on publishing in Scopus-indexed journals.

The program also featured presentations of publishable articles by College of Education faculty members Mr. Jereco Cultura and Ms. Alvie Rebuera, who shared their research outputs as models of scholarly writing.

In his closing message, Dr. Leo L. Codilla, Jr., Dean of the College of Education, reaffirmed CSU’s commitment to advancing research productivity, academic excellence, and global competitiveness.

The workshop supports CSU’s growing publication initiatives. In June, the university reached a milestone of 700 Scopus-indexed publications since 2022, evidence of its ongoing efforts to enrich the global research landscape through collaboration and innovation.

Through this workshop, the Graduate School also continues to nurture a culture of publication and research innovation, ensuring that students not only fulfill program requirements but also contribute to the global body of knowledge.
