CSU shares research, RDIE management skills to MMSU

Caraga State University extended expertise and support to Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) in advancing research, writing, and publication excellence through a workshop on September 17 to 19, 2025.

Organized through MMSU IFP-Probiotics Research Program, the activity aimed to refine manuscripts, align them with journal requirements, and enhance the scientific writing skills of project staff and research assistants.

Representing CSU were Dr. Junrie Matias, Director of the RDIE Publication Management Office, and Dr. Jeffrey Dellosa, Vice President for Research, Development, Innovation, and Extension, serving as resource speakers. They shared insights on strategies for preparing submission-ready manuscripts and navigating the publication process.

MMSU leaders emphasized the importance of this initiative during the Opening Ceremonies. Vice President for Research, Development, and Innovation Dr. Nathaniel Alibuyog highlighted how this will enhance scholarly writing skills, while Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Fides Bitanga, on behalf of MMSU President Dr. Virgilio Julius Manzano, Jr., stressed that “integrity and quality in writing must remain a priority.

MMSU President Dr. Virgilio Julius Manzano, together with the Vice Presidents and members of the Administrative Council, also attended the presentation on the Financial Management Systems on September 19, to be implemented with the support of CSU. 

The MMSU team also gained valuable insights into CSU’s Strategic Research, Development, Innovation, and Extension (RDIE) Management practices, particularly the initiatives presented by Dr. Dellosa has driven the university’s significant growth in research publication outputs.
