Three international students from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) were welcomed to the university, marking another milestone in our pursuit of global collaboration and the first-ever academic exchange. Ms. Phon Sreypich, Ms. Chy Kouyseang, and Mr. Chuon Samphet, students from ITC’s Faculty of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Engineering (GGE), participated in the Geo-STEMS 2025 Summit and Short-term Exchange Program hosted by the university.

The program, spearheaded by the Caraga Center for Geo-informatics (CCGeo) in partnership with the Departments of Geology, Geodetic Engineering, and Civil Engineering, features active participation in the Geo-STEMS 2025 under the LIKHA Summit and hands-on geological fieldwork activities. These include studies on river geomorphology in Taguibo, Agusan del Norte, and cave and coastal geomorphology in Surigao City, Surigao del Norte. This initiative stems from the ongoing collaboration between CSU and ITC under their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The Cambodian students will be with the university until October 2025. Through programs like this, CSU continues to expand its global partnerships, foster cross-cultural understanding, and advance academic excellence through shared learning experiences.
