The vision of the College of Agriculture and Agri-Industries is to provide opportunities and support to the agriculture community that serves the needs of society and safeguards and sustains natural resources and systems.
The programs under CAA are designed to provide students with the technical knowledge in crop and livestock raising, agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, integrated pest management, seed conditioning and technology, breeding, tissue culture, and biotechnology, as well as other areas related to production and quality control in the food and fiber industry. Moreover, it also teaches students about livestock raising and managing a farm or agribusiness.
Through the years, since its establishment in 1987, CAA has continued to respond to the needs of society and pursues excellence in teaching, research, and community services by working in close collaboration with institutions in the country and abroad and, most importantly, with its stakeholders in order to remain responsive to the ever-changing needs of the society.

The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program cultivates future leaders in sustainable agriculture. It offers six major specializations: Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Crop Protection, Horticulture, and Soil Science. The program combines scientific knowledge with ethical, entrepreneurial, and innovative approaches to modern farming. Students gain hands-on experience in production, processing, and agribusiness management while learning to address real-world agricultural challenges through sustainable and technology-driven solutions. Guided by national competency standards, the program produces globally competitive and socially responsible professionals dedicated to advancing food security, environmental stewardship, and rural development for a more sustainable future.
The Bachelor of Science in Food Technology program empowers students to turn scientific knowledge into real-world food innovations. It blends science, technology, and creativity in transforming raw materials into safe, nutritious, and sustainable food products. Students gain hands-on experience in food processing, packaging, and quality assurance while exploring the social, economic, and entrepreneurial dimensions of the food industry. The program nurtures globally competitive and ethically grounded food technologists who lead in innovation, sustainability, and industry advancement. Graduates are prepared to contribute to food security, environmental stewardship, and national development through responsible and technology-driven food solutions.
The Master of Science in Crop Science program provides advanced training in crop production, physiology, breeding, biotechnology, and sustainable farm management. It equips students with research and analytical skills to improve crop yield, quality, and resilience amid changing environmental conditions. The program responds to the country’s need for agricultural innovation, food security, and climate-resilient farming systems. Graduates are prepared to become leaders, researchers, and professionals who drive sustainable agricultural development. They are expected to demonstrate transformative leadership, conduct innovative and science-based research, and uphold lifelong learning and social responsibility.
