The vision of the College of Agriculture and Agri-Industries is to provide opportunities and support to the agriculture community that serves the needs of society and safeguards and sustains natural resources and systems.

The programs under CAA are designed to provide students with the technical knowledge in crop and livestock raising, agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, integrated pest management, seed conditioning and technology, breeding, tissue culture, and biotechnology, as well as other areas related to production and quality control in the food and fiber industry. Moreover, it also teaches students about livestock raising and managing a farm or agribusiness.

Through the years, since its establishment in 1987, CAA has continued to respond to the needs of society and pursues excellence in teaching, research, and community services by working in close collaboration with institutions in the country and abroad and, most importantly, with its stakeholders in order to remain responsive to the ever-changing needs of the society.

Quality Objectives

Instruction

Ensure that all programs in the college are certified by accrediting bodies based on prescribed timelines
Ensure that the faculty members in all programs of the college are qualified based on the minimum standards set in the CMO 23 series of 2021 (PSG for BS Agriculture) and CMO 15 series of 2019 (PSG for Graduate Education).
Equipped the students with the required knowledge and skills based on the academic requirements
- 90% of the students passed the academic requirements per semester
- 10% higher than the National Passing Rate (NPR) every year for Agriculturist Licensure Exam
Establish electronic system of student academic records for easy access and retrieval

Resource management

At least 85% of the total budget under RAF and IGF is utilized based on the College Work and Financial Plan (WFP)

Research, Extension, and Production

At least 50% of the faculty members are involved in research and extension projects
At least 90% of research engagements are aligned with the university research agenda
Faculty members with the rank of assistant professor, associate professor, professor, and university professor published articles in indexed journals (SCI, SSCI, AHCI) with citations
Generate at least 5M funding from external sources intended for RDIE programs and projects
Engage networking with at least one (1) international partner for RDIE
