Alumnus Macasocol marks a name in DepEd

Dr. Lorenzo “Dodong” O. Macasocol of CSU batch 1995, Bachelor in Elementary Education, Magna cum laude radiates as an academic executive of the Department of Education (DepEd) as Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) in the province of Agusan del Norte. Dr. Macasocol also belongs to batch 2001, for his Master’s degree in Education.

Dr. Dodong or Enzo to people close to him is known for his being straightforward and upright. He says things as it is and stand by it. In an interview with the Public Information and Communication Office (PICO) director of Caraga State University, Dr. Macasocol expressed his gratitude for what he has become as a CSU alumnus. He recalled his roller coaster ride as a struggling student coming from an underprivileged background. His experiences inspired him to become the best human being that he can be. Dr. Macasocol recalled how CSU molded him to become the person and professional that he is now.

Superintendent Macasocol has been awarded the first Governor General Francis Burton Harrison (GGFBH) Outstanding Alumnus Award in 2017, together with other select CSU alumni who imbedded in themselves the alumni CORE Values of Competence, Service, and Uprightness. Dr. Lorenzo Macasocol lives the attitude of gratitude shown in the way he speaks about his alma mater-the Caraga state University. He remains humble, loyal, and respectful. PICO
