Select students from Bislig City National Comprehensive High School (BCNHS) successfully completed a one-week educational immersion at Caraga State University (CSU), from February 2-6, 2026, gaining first-hand exposure to university-level geological education and academic life.

Throughout the immersion, students actively participated in hands-on laboratory activities, observed and operated specialized laboratory equipment, and joined actual college classroom discussions. They were also able to present their research topic proposals for evaluation and academic support from the faculty members. These experiences offered them a practical introduction to higher education learning environments, particularly in the sciences.

This activity forms part of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the university, through its Department of Geology, and BCNHS. Under this partnership, CSU commits to implementing research initiatives and capacity-building activities, while BCNHS provides logistical support for fieldwork and other collaborative research efforts in the area.
