Commissioner Libre sat down with CSU’s top management before its community to discuss arising pertinent issues last February 8, 2023, right after the blessing and dedication of the new Board Room.

For the second consultative meeting of the Commissioner with CSU, previous Vice Presidents Dr. Armie Leila M. Mordeno and Dr. Rowena P. Varela were also invited to sit and contribute to the discussion. The meeting highlighted four (4) concerns raised by the attendees: CHED’s Tulong Dunong Scholarship funds, NBC 461 Cycle 9, the Search for the CSU-CC Chancellor,  and CHED Free Education Billing Deficit. In response, the Commissioner urged the university to expedite its initiatives and solutions to ensure that they are properly acted upon. Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) President Dr. Nelson Cabral and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Director Dr. George M. Colorado were also present to share inputs and suggestions.

Before the consultative meeting, CHED Chair Prospero E. De Vera III graced the venue and rendered his privileged speech. He lauded CSU for ‘showing Mindanao how a good University can excel.’  ARP/pico
