Caraga State University (CSU) celebrated the outstanding contributions of its workforce on November 17, 2025, as it recognized and awarded over 300 faculty and staff members during PASIDUNGOG 2025: CSU’s Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) at the LMX Convention Center.
This year’s ceremony marked the official launch of Dayaw, the university’s new emblem of excellence. Dayaw is inspired by Suyam, a traditional Manobo embroidery style from Caraga. The new emblem symbolizes the hard work, identity, and resilience embodied by CSU’s workforce, akin to the intricate craftsmanship showcased in creating Suyam. Anchored in the theme “Weaving Excellence: Rising as One,” the event highlighted the parallel between the artistry of embroidering and the commitment, perseverance, and excellence demonstrated by the university community.

Executives from the Civil Service Commission (CSC)- Caraga Region also graced the occasion to confer the PRIME-HRM Maturity Level II Recognition, awarded in July 2025. The event also featured the unveiling of additional university shields in recognition of CSU’s debut standings in the 2026 World University Rankings and the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.
Adding vibrance to the celebration, winning performers from the CSU’s socio-cultural delegation presented their competition pieces during the dinner segment. Their performance highlighted CSU’s third consecutive championship in Socio-Cultural Events of MASTS 2025
Another key highlight of the event was the presentation of the 2nd LIKHA Awards, honoring exemplary units, departments, and colleges that have significantly advanced the university’s strategic goals through innovation, leadership, and dedication.
With Dayaw as its banner of excellence, CSU continues to strengthen its commitment to shaping a future defined by service, innovation, and collective achievement.
