Caraga State University is this year’s MASTS CHAMPION for socio-cultural events, bringing home the title and a Php 400,000.00 cash prize from the provincial government of Misamis Occidental, the host.

The university bested 34 other State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across Mindanao through top placements in the various literary, visual, and performing arts competitions from October 26-31, 2025 in Oroquieta City.

CSU’s Socio-cultural Director, Dr. Adam Roy V. Galolo, and Vice President for Student Affairs and Auxiliary Services, Dr. Rissa L. Mercado, received the accolade and prize money on behalf of the entire delegation.

Meanwhile, the university also placed 6th Runner-Up in the partial tally of sport events, with NEMSU securing the top spot. Both universities from Caraga Region thus proudly dominated MASTS 2025.

Congratulations to all our student-athletes and performers, faculty-coaches, partners, and directors for bringing immense pride to our university. Bugsay!
