Caraga State University (CSU) successfully conducted its first official Records Disposal Activity on November 19, 2025, to mark its commitment to effective records governance. The activity was headed by Ms. Arlene Obrero, a representative from the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP), and witnessed by Ms. Cathy Marie Sumog-oy from the Commission on Audit (COA) to ensure compliance with national standards on records disposition.

A total of 53 sacks of valueless and non-current records were disposed of through secure landfill burial within the university premises. These records were fully inventoried and evaluated in accordance with the NAP General Records Disposition Schedule prior to disposal.

This initiative strengthens CSU’s commitment to proper records lifecycle management, transparency, and accountability. It also supports the university’s ongoing efforts to declutter storage areas, minimize risks, and uphold efficient administrative processes aligned with RA 9470 and COA regulations.

The Records Management Office extends its appreciation to all offices that contributed to the successful conduct of this milestone activity.
