CSU joins DOST in the National Science and Technology Week Celebration

Caraga State University (CSU) joined the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Regional Science and Technology Week celebration on August 8-13, 2017 held at the Robinson’s Place Atrium.

CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso with CSU first lady Madam Abigail Noemis T. Penaso with some CSU key officials joined the opening ceremony on August 8, 2017. CSU’s Budjunng Ensemble led the Invocation and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem while the Dulimbay Theatre Arts Guild rendered an intermission number as requested by the DOST through its Regional Director, Dominga D. Mallonga. 

The Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) dubbed as Science for the People had series of activities where CSU actively participated. It was on the same week that several CSU and DOST projects were launched, like the Geo-SAFER Mindanao; the CSU Food and Innovation Center. CSU also participated in the Technology Forum: Food Innovation and Food Laws, Pitching Competition, S & T Contests, Quiz Bowl and Poster Making, Science Feature and News Writing, and Extemporaneous Speech contest.DOST also launched its STORMM Project, highlighted by the Signing of its Covenant of Commitment. piaea
