Caraga State University and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Provincial Office of Agusan del Norte, under Project KAHIUSA – Phase 1, conducted a focused mentoring and review session for Indigenous Peoples (IP) Senior High School (SHS) students on February 13, 2026, at the NCIP Provincial Office in Brgy. Sanghan, Cabadbaran City.
The intensive session is designed to equip IP students with the academic tools and test-taking strategies necessary for the upcoming admission test examination at Caraga State University Main Campus in Ampayon, Butuan City. This initiative is a centerpiece of Project KAHIUSA – Phase 1, a collaborative partnership between the NCIP and Caraga State University, specifically aimed at providing IP learners with the knowledge, confidence, and mental readiness to navigate their transition to higher education.

Last January 28, 2026, these senior high school students representing IP communities of Nasipit and Cabadbaran City visited the university for an educational tour and were assisted by the Office of Admission and Scholarship (OAS) in the online registration and other requirements for the ongoing CSU-Admission Test (CSU-AT).
