TODAY, December 19 — Both campuses of the university ushered in the yuletide season through their annual Year-End Convocation to present the university’s accomplishments and a spirited, Christmas-themed variety show, in which the College of Education (CEd) reclaimed victory.

President Daguil delivered a comprehensive review of the university’s achieved targets under its LIKHA Agenda and other significant progress of the current year. He attributed the university’s success to the dedicated collaboration of its faculty and staff across the five pillars. The report concluded with the remaining roadmaps of the overarching goals set for 2026, setting a forward-looking optimism for the new year.

The variety show ensued, presenting seven entries from the cluster of colleges and administrative units. The College of Education (CEd) was once again hailed as champions. This year, they are paired with the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Auxiliary Services (OVPSAS), from which most of the personnel come from the same college. The winning performance featured a musical ensemble that incorporated various Christmas themes and traditions.

Cluster 2 won second place, comprising faculty and staff from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS) and the College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (CMNS). Meanwhile, Cluster 3, represented by the College of Agriculture and Agri-Industries (CAA) and the College of Forestry and Environmental Science (CoFES), secured a strong third-place finish.

The convocation also launched this year’s University Christmas ID.

The annual activity demonstrated the balanced professional recognition and cultural fellowship that the university maintains to cultivate in creating a holistic working environment for its community.
