Caraga State University (CSU) strengthened its commitment to industry-relevant education as it formally entered into an academe–industry partnership with SINBAD.Tech through the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on January 19, 2026, at the TBI-Navigatu Incubation Center.

SINBAD.Tech, a forward-looking financial technology company based in Saudi Arabia, is known for developing innovative digital solutions tailored to the Middle Eastern market. Its platform integrates advanced trading capabilities, subscription management, secure payment processing, and user authentication, offering students valuable exposure to cutting-edge fintech technologies. The collaboration marks a significant step toward expanding global internship opportunities for CSU students, particularly in computing and information technology.

Under the agreement, SINBAD.Tech will welcome Golden Paddler interns into a structured virtual On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program where students will be assigned to meaningful, real-world tasks that directly contribute to product development. This hands-on experience is designed to help interns build strong professional portfolios while gaining firsthand exposure to industry tools, workflows, and best practices.

During the ceremony, Dr. Jaymer M. Jayoma, Dean of the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS), formally welcomed the attendees and delivered the rationale of the partnership. Dr. Jayoma underscored the College’s continuous efforts to secure high-quality internship placements for its students, noting that SINBAD.Tech embodies the values of excellence, innovation, and industry relevance that CCIS upholds.

In his message, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Agbawi, Chief Executive Officer of SINBAD.Tech, expressed his appreciation to the university and commended its strong research culture, quality academic outputs, and the competence of its graduates. University President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil conveyed his support and appreciation for the initiative, welcoming the partnership as another meaningful collaboration between CSU and SINBAD.Tech.

The activity concluded with the closing remarks of Dr. Maria Elma Q. Won, Director of the Office of Student Internship Program (OSIP), who extended her gratitude to SINBAD.Tech for opening internship opportunities to CSU students. She also acknowledged the dedication of the working committee and everyone involved in the successful conduct of the MOA signing.

Through this partnership, Caraga State University continues to broaden its global industry linkages and reaffirm its commitment to producing competent, innovative, and work-ready graduates equipped to thrive in an increasingly digital and interconnected world.
