Following the university’s triumph as overall champion in the socio-cultural events category, CSU’s Sports delegation has now been officially declared 2nd Runner-Up, receiving a ₱200,000.00 cash prize from the provincial government of Misamis Occidental. This result comes after the MASTS Sports Event officials’ final deliberation today, October 31, which revised CSU’s previous standing from 6th Runner-Up.
The university garnered 47 gold, 34 silver, and 61 bronze medals across various sports events.
With this achievement, CSU has once again cemented its excellence in both socio-cultural and sports competitions, amassing a total of ₱600,000.00 in prize winnings for being Champion and 2nd Runner-Up, respectively, in the Mindanao-wide Friendship Games of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).
