In preparation for the upcoming ISO 9001:2015 surveillance audit this November, the university’s Quality Assurance Management Unit (QAMU) has started its series of workshops and coaching for effective documentation of the Quality Management System (QMS). This ensures that the university remains at par with globally accepted best practices in its operations, services, and systems.

Select personnel from all offices were separated into batches, with Batch 1 beginning its three-day activity on October 14-16, 2025. This batch comprised the personnel from the Office of the Vice President for Executive Operations (OVPEO) and the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance (OVPAF).

Aside from the fundamental principles of this international standard for creating, implementing, and maintaining QMS, personnel were also immersed in writing sessions for the revision of their quality objectives, identification and assessment of risks and opportunities, analysis of audit findings through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and development of corrective and preventive actions. Discussions were spearheaded by Ms. Joy Mariz Otero, Unit Head of QAMU.

The university has been ISO-certified since 2017. Its recent recertification was given last year, November 27, 2024. This demonstrates that CSU’s operations, services, and systems follow an international quality framework that is protocol-based and customer-focused.

Prior to this activity, a similar session was conducted at the university’s Cabadbaran Campus.
