Caraga State University’s Sinawali Showdown has secured the 4th Runner-up Award at the Philippine Startup Challenge X National Finals, held December 3-4, 2025, in Clark, Pampanga. Represented by Centmarde Campado (BSIT-IV), Mardz Allyna Lidasan (BSIT-IV), Mark Daniel Jamisola (BSIT-IV), and mentor Mr. Edwin Manuel M. Jarlata (CCIS Faculty), the martial arts trading card game venture idea stood out among 17 regional champions.

Notable for being the competition’s sole game venture, the team also took home Huawei’s Special Award for Game Development, which offers international mentorship opportunities and potential integration to the developer’s platforms and App Gallery. The team also received the Sustainability Trailblazer Award for its promotion of the Filipino identity and culture through digital innovation. This achievement marks CSU’s fifth year competing at the PSC National Finals and its second podium finish.

This consistent excellence underscores Caraga State University’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation among its students, aligned with SDGs 4 (Quality Education), 9 (Industry Innovation and Infrastructure), and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).  As Sinawali Showdown moves forward, their success serves as a powerful testament to the potential of regional startups to champion cultural heritage through technology and make a national impact.
