Giselle Jane Dayanan and Iver Jay Yana, both fourth-year students in the Bachelor of Science in Geology program, won the Best Poster Presentation Award at the 4th International Conference on Earth Resources and Geo-Environment Technology, held on December 11-12, 2025, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Their award-winning poster, “Gold Mineralization Mapping of Tambis District Prospects, Caraga Region, Philippines through Stream Sediment and Soil Analysis using Gold Fire Assaying,” highlights the quality of their research, methodological rigor, and commitment to advancing geological studies.

This recognition is a great indicator of the university’s growing research ecosystem, where students are also given the opportunity to engage in an international scholarly platform for knowledge generation. Kudos, Golden Paddlers. Bugsay!
