Invest into the future: Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil takes the helm as the 3rd university president

Caraga State University welcomed a new chapter in its history as Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil was officially inaugurated as its 3rd University President in a momentous investiture ceremony. The event, attended by esteemed guests, faculty members, staff, and students last June 10, 2023, marked the beginning of a transformative era for the renowned institution.

In his inaugural address, President Daguil outlined his vision for the future of Caraga State University, emphasizing the importance of academic freedom, integrity, and social responsibility. He expressed his firm belief in the power of education to shape the lives of students and contribute to societal development.

Recognizing the power bestowed upon him by law and the Board of Regents, Dr. Daguil is committed to exercising that power in a just, humane, and accountable manner. He comprehends the statement conveyed by Commissioner Jo Mark M. Libre, which echoes the notable quote “With great power comes great responsibility,” – as famously articulated by Peter Parker in the Spiderman film. Dr. Daguil embraces this responsibility as his collective duty, aligning with the government’s mission to deliver benefits, provide protection, and advance Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs).
