President Daguil attends in-person engagement for Wharton School exec program completers

Caraga State University (CSU) continues to strengthen its global academic and leadership footprint as University President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil participated in the In-Person Networking and Executive Reflections event at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, held on December 3–5, 2025. The executive engagement convened completers of Wharton executive programs from around the world, providing a high-level platform for international networking, executive reflection sessions with Wharton academic directors, self-guided campus immersion, and the formal awarding of program certificates.
President Daguil’s participation pins CSU’s strong commitment to leadership excellence, global benchmarking, and internationalization, reinforcing the University’s pursuit of globally informed governance and evidence-based decision-making in higher education.
“This engagement is not merely ceremonial,” President Daguil shared. “It is an opportunity to engage with global academic leaders, reflect on best practices in executive leadership, and translate world-class insights into strategies that benefit Caraga State University and the communities we serve.”
The Wharton in-person component complements the executive program completed by participants and creates a space for reflective dialogue on leadership challenges, innovation, and institutional transformation—areas that strongly align with CSU’s strategic priorities on quality assurance, digital transformation, and global competitiveness.
Vice President for Executive Operations, Dr. Michelle V. Japitana, and Division Chief for Strategic Foresight and Management, Engr. Stephanie Mae S. Albores, also completed their respective Wharton executive programs alongside the president. Although they did not participate in the in-person engagement in the US, their completion of the Wharton programs significantly contributes to CSU’s growing pool of globally trained academic and administrative leaders.
Participation in this activity further strengthens CSU’s alignment with international standards and reinforces its presence in prestigious academic networks, supporting the University’s long-term goals in international recognition, strategic foresight, and institutional excellence.
As CSU advances its vision of being a socially engaged, innovation-driven, and globally connected university, the President’s engagement at Wharton reflects the University’s deliberate investment in leadership development as a cornerstone of sustainable and future-ready higher education.
