CSU President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) – Caraga Regional Director Priscilla R. Sonido, CESO III, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) yesterday, December 21, 2023. This MOA outlines the implementation of a project to assess the impact of privatizing port operations within the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Ports operating under the Port Terminal Management Regulatory Framework (PTMRF).

The project’s objectives include uncovering both the medium-term and long-term impacts of PTMRF, with a specific focus on effects such as port service fees, port operators’ revenue, the increase in private sector investments for port development, management, and operation, as well as the enhancement of the overall quality of port services in PPA seaports across the Philippines.

Witnesses to the signing were Mr. Mitchell Castillon and Ms. Connie Fern Miranda.nkb/pico
