Navigatu’s SnapScout and ClassMeet startup team win 1st and 3rd places in the Philippine Startup Challenge – Regional Pitching Competition

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) – Caraga Region recently held the Philippine Startup Challenge (PSC) – Regional Pitching Competition (RPC) via Zoom Platform on October 16, 2023. Ten (10) teams out of the 26 teams pitched their innovative ICT ideas and solutions in this year’s RPC.
The ten student-led startup teams that competed were the following:
- CTSHELF (Father Saturnino Urios University)
- AdvocaSeeks (Mainit National High School)
- AedeZapper (Mainit National High School)
- MariTip (Mainit National High School)
- SPORTAL (Mainit National High School)
- SnapScout (Caraga State University)
- Parago (Caraga State University)
- MentalBoost (Caraga State University)
- ClassMeet (Caraga State University)
- HealthSync (Caraga State University)
The startup teams pitched their ideas before Ms. Keren Happuch Lacadin, Deputy Focal of ICT Industry Development Bureau Region 10, Founder and CTO of Web Wiselabs Mr. Kevin Felisilda, and Dr. Franch Maverick Lorilla, Technology Business Incubator (TBI) Manager of Cagayan de Oro Business Incubation Technology Entrepreneurship and Startups (CDO b.i.t.e.s.) represented by Christian Rey M. Alison.
Caraga State University and Navigatu Incubatee’s ClassMeet, composed of Arabela Mae Matias, Bryan Ian Ramos, and Selywn Rollorata, bagged 3rd Place. AdvocaSeeks from Mainit National High School came in 2nd Place. Startup team SnapScout, also from CSU and composed of Elijah Banguis, Gio Gonzales, Klint Jerald Matugas, Mike Andre Puspus, and Mary Abigail Soliva, was declared the champion of this year’s Regional Pitching Competition.
SnapScout will proceed to the semifinal round and have a chance to represent the Caraga Region in the Philippine Startup Challenge Pitching Competition.
