BS Social Work receives Certificate of Compliance from PRC; CSU becomes the first HEI in the country to receive PRC’s recognition

All hats off as the Caraga State University’s Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) received its Certificate of Compliance from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) through a turnover ceremony yesterday, September 21, 2023, at the Office of the University President. This feat makes CSU the first Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the Philippines to receive such recognition from the PRC.

This certificate is a testament to the outstanding performance of the Social Work program, which has consistently produced top-notch graduates and maintained a 100% passing rate for three (3) consecutive Licensure Examinations for Social Workers (LESW). The department also demonstrated full compliance with the policies, standards, and guidelines set by the PRC.

The ceremony was attended by the Regional Director of PRC RO XIII Cheryl P. Elicano, CPA, the Supervising Officer of PRC RO XIII Ms. Glezza Tambaba Ty, the Vice President for Research Innovation and Extension Dr. Jeffrey T. Dellosa, the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Ruth E. Sanchez, and the faculty members of the Social Work Department headed by Prof. Desiree Fria- Gonzales, RSW, MSW.
