CSU’s Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in partnership with the region’s Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), highlighted gender perspective in response management as it commenced its National Disaster Month Training on Gender Perspective Response Management with the CSU Disaster Risk Reduction Management (CSU-DRRM) Core Group, Unit Heads, Directors, and college representatives.

This training integrated inclusive, equitable, and strategic disaster responses and recovery efforts for all types of crises that the University may face in the future. This initiative further targeted appropriate actions for specific needs of all vulnerabilities, regardless of gender identity.

The University is optimistic that the activity will produce more comprehensive and sustainable disaster preparedness, response, and recovery strategies beneficial for its community. PICO/ARP
