
CSU formally received the Certificate of Compliance for its Bachelor of Science in Geology, signifying compliance with the Professional Regulatory Commission standards, following the first inspection, thorough evaluation, and monitoring by the Professional Regulatory Board of Geology.
The Certificate of Compliance was signed by Department of Geology Chairperson Shaira E. Balidoy, PRB Geology Chairperson Atty. Fernando S. Peñarroyo; PRB members Dr. Elmer B. Billedo and Dr. Benjamin S. Austria; and PRC Region XIII Cherry Mae A. Mamasu-Espejon.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Vicente A. Pitogo, College of Engineering and Geosciences (CEGS) Dean Engr. Anamarie P. Sajonia, and Office of Curriculum and Instructional Development Director Dr. Abegail Balbin also graced and supported the activity.
This issuance is a significant step towards strengthening the geology education in the region, which corresponds to Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 (Quality Education).
