CSU Food Innovation Center, led by Center Head Genesis Jared Cutamora, obtained two (2) utility model registrations, one for its chocolate-based confection or dessert, and another one for the process of making it.

Utility model registrations are considered intellectual property protection for simpler or incremental inventions. It includes rights for the commercial product and protection from commercial exploitation without the inventor’s permission.

The registrations reflect the university’s commitment to advancing food innovation and protecting creative research outputs through intellectual property relevant to Sustainable Development Goal No. 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure)

FIC also opens the inventions to interested adopters by signifying their interest through email at itso@carsu.edu.ph.
