Caraga State University conducted an in-house review of its ongoing and completed research and extension projects on August 18-19, 2025, to ensure quality, relevance, and desired impact among clientele and communities.
Vice President for R&D, Innovation and Extension Jeffrey T. Delosa, D.Eng, opened the annual review, which he deemed “a platform to strengthen R&D efforts, and reflect on the Regional and the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 as the roadmap for relevant undertakings.” He also posed questions to participating faculty-researchers about “how they look at 2030” and “what impression of CSU they would want to build.”

University President Rolyn C. Daguil, PhD, also expressed a message of support and emphasized the value of complementing instruction with research for maximum impact not only in the academic community but with external clients.

The Office of VPRDIE organized the activity, which featured presentations on the 18 R&D and 27 extension projects led by CSU. Personnel from the Financial Management Services, Supply, Procurement, and Accounting offices served as evaluators.
The R&D and extension projects cover environmental and ecological initiatives, social welfare and development, financial literacy, IT and innovation, public administration, agricultural development, energy efficiency, biodiversity, disaster preparedness, robotics, education, and entrepreneurship, reflecting the wide range of areas through which the university contributes to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals 2, 4, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17.

Detailed assessments and recommendations on all projects presented are hoped to be attained in this two-day activity, aiming to set forth innovative and strategic RDIE outputs for the university.
