Dr. Jeffrey T. Dellosa, the university’s Vice President for Research, Development, Innovation, and Extension (VPRDIE), was recognized as one of the National Innovation Drivers by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) during the 9th Technology Business Incubators (TBI) Summit held at Bacolod City on November 7.

This recognition highlights Dr. Dellosa’s meaningful contributions as a Technical Panel Member of DOST-PCIEERD, where he has actively participated for several years in the establishment and strengthening of Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) and Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) under the IMPACT Program. His dedication has played a vital role in advancing innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education institutions across the country.

Dr. Dellosa expressed his deep gratitude to the DOST-PCIEERD family, especially to Executive Director Dr. Enrico C. Paringit, RITTD Chief Technology Transfer Officer Ms. Russell Pili, and the RITTD Leadership Team: Ms. Leizl Dimacali Sueno, Mr. Edward Paul Apigo, and Mr. Neil Christian Reyes , for their continued trust, support, and confidence in the Technical Panel members. He emphasized his strong commitment to continue championing startup development, regional inclusive innovation, meaningful collaboration, and the advancement of regionally rooted TBIs that empower local communities and innovators.

He also extended his appreciation to the UMWAD RESEED Consortia, comprising Mr. Carmelo Ambut, Mr. Jovel Young, and Mr. Greg Crisostomo, whose dynamic efforts and collaboration significantly contributed to the success of the recent TBI Summit.

In closing, Dr. Dellosa reaffirmed his commitment to building a thriving innovation ecosystem that nurtures Filipino ingenuity and global competitiveness. He expressed his optimism for a future where ideas flourish, opportunities grow, and Filipino excellence continues to shine on the world stage.
