CSU links with DepEd Bislig for advancing geology knowledge, research

Caraga State University, through the Department of Geology, and the DepEd Caraga – Bislig City Division, represented by Bislig City National High School, officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a research collaboration aligned with the Geology Program requirements under CMO No. 35, s. 2008, Section 24 on Extension Services: “The Upgrading of Knowledge in Geology of Elementary, High School, and Tertiary Science Teachers.”

As part of this partnership, CSU commits to delivering research initiatives and capacity-building activities, while the DepEd Caraga – Bislig City Division will provide logistical and accommodation support for fieldwork and other collaborative research activities conducted in the area.

The MOA was signed on behalf of the CSU President by the Department Head of Geology, Ms. Shaira E. Balidoy, together with the OIC-Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd Caraga – Bislig City Division, Dr. Gemma A. De Paz.

This collaboration reinforces a shared commitment to advancing geoscience education and strengthening regional research initiatives.
