CSU’s Vice President for Research, Development, and Innovation (VPRDIE), Dr. Jeffrey T. Dellosa, strengthened the university’s global academic engagement by participating in the International Conference on Internationalization of Higher Education, held from January 29-30, 2026, in Guwahati, Assam, India. The conference was organized with the support of the Commission on Higher Education of the Government of Assam, an institution comparable to CHED Caraga, and gathered higher education leaders, policymakers, and scholars from across the world.

Representing CSU and the Philippines, Dr. Dellosa delivered a keynote address on “Advancing Global Collaboration in Research and Innovation: Pathways for Joint Development in Higher Education.” His presentation highlighted CSU’s experiences, best practices, and strategic directions in research and innovation, emphasizing the critical role of international partnerships in strengthening higher education systems and addressing global challenges.

The conference brought together more than 40 international resource speakers from Asia, Europe, and the United States, providing a dynamic platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration. The program featured two major thematic tracks: (1) Technical disciplines, particularly Engineering and Information and Communications Technology (ICT); and (2) Arts, Humanities, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, and Management, underscoring the multidisciplinary nature of higher education internationalization.

The conference aimed to serve as a knowledge-convergence platform situating the implementation of India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 within a global comparative framework. It sought to strengthen inter-institutional linkages, promote mutual learning between Indian and international universities, advance best practices in multidisciplinary and holistic education, and encourage sustainable academic partnerships—objectives that closely align with CSU’s vision for research, innovation, and global engagement.

Through Dr. Dellosa’s participation, Caraga State University reaffirmed its commitment to fostering meaningful international partnerships and advancing research and innovation on a global scale.
