Division for Information and Public Affairs

Offices Under OVPEO - Division for Information and Public Affairs

About the Office

The Division for Information and Public Affairs (DIPA) is the University’s central coordinating unit for communication, international engagement, information systems, and research advancement. It ensures that institutional initiatives are effectively communicated, globally connected, digitally supported, and research-driven—aligned with the University’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities. Under DIPA are key functional offices, namely the Public Information and Communication Office (PICO), Office of International and Global Engagement (OIGE), Management Information Systems (MIS), and the Academic/Advanced Research Office (ARO). These offices collectively work to strengthen the University’s visibility, internationalization efforts, digital infrastructure, and research productivity. DIPA oversees the development and implementation of strategic communication plans, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent dissemination of information across various platforms. Through PICO, it manages media relations, branding, publications, and public engagement. Through OIGE, it advances international partnerships, mobility programs, and global collaborations. Through MIS, it ensures reliable ICT systems, digital transformation, and data management. Through ARO, it promotes research development, innovation, and scholarly output aligned with institutional and global priorities. The Division also facilitates coordination among these offices to support faculty, staff, and students in their respective engagements—whether in communication, international activities, digital services, or research initiatives. It plays a critical role in enhancing transparency, strengthening stakeholder relationships, expanding global linkages, and elevating the University’s reputation in both national and international landscapes.
