Alumnus and taekwondo trainer wins in int’l World Peace and Fire Games

The Caraga State University (CSU) proudly congratulates our alumnus and taekwondo trainer, Police Master Sergeant (PMSg) Master Edgar G. Pantohan, for winning 1 gold and 2 silver medals in the Poomsae event at the 2025 World Police and Fire Games held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.

The World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) is a global biennial sports event for active and retired law enforcement and fire service personnel, featuring competitions like poomsae, a Taekwondo form showcasing technique, power, balance, and precision through choreographed movements.

Pantohan has served as one of CSU’s taekwondo team trainers since 2017. Under his guidance, KC Recamara was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games held in April 2025.

During his time as a student at CSU, Pantohan also proudly represented the university in Taekwondo. Bugsay, alumni Golden Paddler!
