Caraga State University’s very own faculty member in the College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences – Department of Physics, Mr. Jade C. Jusoy, has been appointed as an adjunct professor at the National Institute of Physics (NIP) at the University of the Philippines Diliman. The appointment is part of CSU’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the NIP, which began in 2024 and continues through 2027.

The initiative for adjunct professors started last year, June 2025, and Mr. Jusoy’s appointment at NIP is until July 2026. The official recognition of the NIP adjunct professors took place during the National Quantum Science and Technology Roadmapping Conference – Workshop last February 2026 and was recently posted by NIP’s official Facebook page.

As an adjunct professor, Mr. Jusoy will serve as the focal person to oversee the activities outlined in the MOU between CSU and UPD. This role typically involves collaborative research, specialized instruction and lectures, and the exchange of academic information and materials.

This engagement underscores Caraga State University’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically advancing SDG 4 (Quality Education) through academic excellence and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering strategic institutional collaborations.
