CSU brings 44 research papers, wins 7 presentation awards in Japan

Caraga State brings 44 research papers from its 18-member delegation to the 2026 17th International Conference on E-Education, E-Business, E-Management and E-Learning (IC4e) and the 11th International Conference on Marketing, Business and Trade (ICMBT 2026) held in Fukuoka, Japan from April 1–4, 2026. Among them were five (5) awardees for Best Presentation for the seven (7) papers.

The delegation was composed of 17 faculty members from the College of Education, representing both the Department of Secondary Education and the Department of Elementary Education, and one (1) faculty member from the College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences – Department of Mathematics. This strong representation highlights the university’s commitment to advancing research, innovation, and global academic engagement.

The 44 research papers showcased cutting-edge studies across AI in STEM Education, Gamification and Game-Based Learning, Technology-Enhanced Learning, Teacher Professional Development, and Digital Governance and Educational Technology.

Further, the Best Presentation Award was presented to select faculty members who have demonstrated competence with their presentations and answered questions from the panel:

  2. Dr. Julie S. Berame – Enhancing Motivation and Engagement in Learning Plant and Animal Cells through AI-Gamified Learning Platforms
  3. Dr. Trixie E. Cubillas – Literature in the Digital Age: Students’ Acceptance and Adoption Toward Emerging Educational Technologies
  4. Dr. Trixie E. Cubillas – Pre-Service Teachers’ Self-Esteem, Behavioral Intention, and Artificial Intelligence Use in Academic Writing
  5. Dr. Merliza F. Libao – Equitable Modality Framework (EMF) for E-Management Scheduling
  6. Mr. Abzonie B. Reño – Enhancing Mathematics Learning: Evaluating the Effectiveness of ICT Integration among Grade 10 Students’ Perceived Performance
  7. Mr. Jereco F. Cultura – NUMBEE QUEST: A Technology-Game-Based Teaching Strategy to Improve the Numeracy Skills of Kindergarten Pupils in the Philippines

All accepted and presented papers will be published in IEEE Xplore, a globally recognized digital library indexed in Scopus, further amplifying the international visibility and impact of the university’s research.

This international engagement supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure on promoting inclusive and equitable quality education through innovative teaching strategies, ICT integration, and research-based practices, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals on strengthening global partnerships and academic collaboration.

Participation in this prestigious international conference not only strengthened CSU’s global presence but also fostered collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation in education, business, and technology.
