The Office of Counseling and Career Services (OCCS) held its annual Trabaho Fair on April 15, 2026, and catered to over 2,000 graduating Golden Paddlers, alumni, and interested applicants in the city. A total of 29 participating agencies joined the event, with 10 Golden Paddlers hired on the spot, doubling last year’s number, for their qualifications and excellent interview processes.

The event, organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Caraga and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), offered 390 job vacancies across various industries. Through direct engagement with recruiters, the participants were able to explore career opportunities, better understand hiring requirements, and gain valuable, real-world experience in the job application process.

Trabaho Fair is an OCCS’ flagship initiative designed to support graduating students and alumni by providing them direct access to the job market and easing the transition into professional careers. In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 and SDG 8, this activity highlights the role of education in driving decent work and long-term development.
