
Caraga State University (CSU) proudly sent the CSU EcoEdge Team from the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE), College of Engineering and Geosciences (CEGS), to represent the Philippines in the Asian AI Hackathon for Green Future 2026, held at VinUniversity, Hanoi, Vietnam, from July 2–5, 2026.
The team earned its place among the Top 30 finalists after a rigorous selection process involving nearly 450 team applications and close to 1,500 young innovators from 22 countries across Asia. Their qualifying entry was developed from an undergraduate BSECE thesis.

The CSU EcoEdge Team is composed of Elejune Ace B. Epanes, Ralph Angel C. Gonzaga, Jevan M. Racaza, Engr. Alfred Dennis B. Balamad, and Engr. Lovely Mae Dagsa-Balamad. The team members underwent the 36-hour AI Hackathon, collaborating with outstanding student innovators from across Asia to develop technology-driven solutions for a more sustainable future.
