The Department of Science and Technology - National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP), in partnership with Caraga State University, Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Caraga Region, held its 21st NRCP Mindanao Regional Cluster Convention and Stakeholders’ Engagement: Strengthening Network with LGUs, HEIs, and the Third Sector from November 30, 2023 to December 1, 2023, at the HERO Learning Commons.
The Caraga State University, along with theC Caraga Health Research and Development Consortium (CHRDC), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the Department of Health-Caraga (DOH-Caraga) welcomed its participants for the Caraga Healthcon 2023 at the H.E.R.O Learning Commons Auditorium last November 8-9, 2023. This is the 6th convention that CHRDC has organized to date.
A delegation of high-ranking officials, including Undersecretaries, Assistant Secretaries, and Directors from various councils and attached agencies within the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Central and Regional Offices, visited Caraga State University (CSU) on October 13, 2023, to personally inspect several Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) projects that had received funding through the DOST's Grant-in-Aid (GIA) program.

The university clinched the championship and secured the third prize, demonstrating the exceptional talents and commitment of its students and faculty.
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Fortunato T. Dela Pena lauded a team of CSU researchers led by Dr. Tomas M. Austral, Jr. for the development of Caraga black native chicken through breeding and selection as potential niche product of Caraga region.
