Caraga State University (CSU) Cabadbaran Campus proudly celebrates the achievement of its faculty member, Mr. Robert John D. Gipal, who successfully completed his nine-month journey in the prestigious Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program at Gonzaga University in Washington, USA.

Gipal, a faculty member of the General Education Department of CSUCC, concluded the FLTA program during the university’s 133rd commencement ceremony alongside Gonzaga University President Katia Passerini.

Through the Fulbright FLTA Program, he taught Filipino language and culture classes while also pursuing studies in American Studies and English language education and pedagogy. He further earned his Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification from Gonzaga University’s School of Education.

Gipal’s achievement reflects CSU’s commitment to academic excellence and global engagement while proudly showcasing Filipino culture on the international stage.

The Fulbright Program is one of several United States cultural exchange programs that aim to improve intercultural relations, cultural diplomacy, and intercultural competence between the American people and other countries through the mutual exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.
